We enjoy sharing the challenges of farming life with others and take on a number of public speaking engagements to help promote Swaledale sheep and inspire others to work with this unique breed.
Talks are informal, fun and relaxed. They cover everything from life as a shepherdess, and the challenges that brings, to information about sheep, working with wool and life on the Llyn Peninsula.

Living and working on a farm can often be chaotic. Sheep need constant care and we’re always working on new and exciting projects. This busy and unusual life gives us a lot of fascinating stories to tell, with tales of everyday madness and the ups and downs of living on a farm.

Our talks are a fantastic opportunity to learn about the process of caring for sheep, shearing the animals and transforming the fleece into something unique. We hope that sharing our experiences and talking about our love for Swaledales, we’ll inspire others to use the wool for their own projects or support the makers that do.

As talks are informal, there are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn the specifics of life on the farm. We make a point of telling it exactly how it is, so if you want to know what it’s really like to be a shepherdess in Wales in the 21st century, this is the perfect opportunity.
